Our goal is to allow regeneration in adult mammals whatever the tissue. We are particularly interested in two tissues: bone marrow and adipose tissue in which our research is particularly focused on the role and functions of stem cells, mesenchymal cells (MSC bone marrow, ASC for adipose tissue) and their use in regenerative medicine.

Public Choice Award in the National Center Veterinary Parasitology (NCVP) Image Contest

Congratulations to Guillaume Barbaray, intern at CHUVAC, who wins the Public Choice Award and is one of the 4 winners of the photo contest organized by the National Center for Veterinary Parasitology (NCVP). Thanks to transparency techniques coupled with 3D biphotonic microscopy (developed at Stromalab by Corinne BARREAU), Guillaume Barbary, supervised by Dr Emilie Bouhsira and Pr Isabelle Raymond, was able for the first time to obtain new and innovative 3D images of the cat's flea (Ctenocephalides felis).

Robert Naquet Price for Luc PENICAUD

This year the Robert Naquet Prize was awarded to Luc Pénicaud. A former president of CNRS Section 24 (Physiology, Tumorigenesis and Aging) and INRA CSS 9 (Nutrition), he has always been a committed advocate of Physiology. Specialist in the nervous regulation of metabolism, internationally recognized, this prize rewards his career as well as his activities within SPBI, in particular his unfailing investment in the animation of the scientific council, his direct involvement in the organization and selection of sessions in national and international meetings.
